Yesterday, October 29, we had the bad news of the death of Dr. Francesc Puchal i Mas. We feel his departure, not only for his scientific legacy, but also for his permanent kindness and desire for human contact present in all his encounters.

He was an active member in the development of modern Animal Food and Production in Spain, helping to adapt it to the levels and standards of production in Europe between 1960 and 1980.

He founded a little more than 50 years ago ITPSA, an Animal Nutrition company, which with its international character is now present in more than 80 countries, spread over all continents. It has carried the name of Spain and its products manufactured in its beloved Catalonia, all over the world.

PhD Veterinarian in Nutrition and Animal Production, with an endless Curriculum. Professor and Dean at the Veterinary Universities of the UCM and UAB, a multitude of publications and above all thousands of memories.

Personally, I was lucky and honored to meet Dr. Puchal, 33 years ago. We maintained a professional relationship and his great support allowed us to found DM2 who has actively collaborated with ITPSA since its inception. Doctor, you will always be present among us, in every move we make when we talk about ITPSA, its people and its products (antioxidants, carotenes, enzymes ...).

Yesterday the world of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production lost a great man. This Covid pandemic will not allow a farewell as it deserved, but from here we all remember you and give a hug and support to your entire family.
